Way to go Molly!

Anyone reading this knows Molly is passionate about theatre! She always seems to find an audition for me to take her to. She has done well over the years but in theatre there are a lot of auditions that don't go your way! Today was a fun one! She auditioned for a real life Broadway Producer! She tried out for the national tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. She was one of seven girls who got a call back. Now she has to wait for three months to see if she goes to the next step. If she moves on they will have her go to LA or New York for another audition. It is also very possible to not hear anything and then after the 3 months passes you have to assume they chose someone else. I am just glad she got a callback here in SLC! She is quite fearless!

Happy New Year!

Well I am finally getting to this blog! We had a great Christmas! Sam and I have never had overnight guests so it was fun to have Josh, Becca and kids stay with us for 5 days. We learned a few things and next time our guests will stay a little warmer - sorry Rebecca. We had a fun New Years party with a few cousins and the snow has been great for sledding! Kate got "Julie" for Christmas and has just loved her. Kate is a very creative girl and is having two friends over after school to make headbands for their dolls and a plate of cookies (made out of brown foam). It should be interesting.

A little good news!

Yeah! Peter took third place in the Pinewood Derby this past month! This was a fun surprise because we do not own woodworking tools of any kind! Last year we had a couple neighbors who offered to help the boys with their cars and we took them up on it. This year none of the offers materialized and I thought Sam was joking when we told Peter to meet him in the garage to work on the car. They ended up cutting it with a little hand saw. Anyway it ended up being a fast car and Peter took third place! Way to go Sam!

Sara's good news includes being moved up a level in ballet and her cheer squad taking first place in there competion at the U. They did a great job! They were the highest scoring Jr. High at the competition. They will have one more competition on January 12th and hopefully it will go as well.

Molly is doing a great job of Jr. High. She loves hanging out with friends and is still reading like crazy. She is also a great help with Emma. Molly's life is quite calm this Christmas and it has made me think back to all she did in International Childrens Choir. Looking back I don't know how we did it. It was a lot of fun but also a lot of work, time and driving!

Kate performed in her first play tonight! She did a great job! She was the mother - the two girls with her in the picture were her daughters. She also was knuckles - a mean elf. It was a cute play and I feel lucky to have such a great drama school close.

Now that I have bragged about most my kids - nothing keeps you in reality like a 20 month old. I never can seem to accomplish anything without a million distractions. Emma did not eat anything for 3 weeks and now she is in a phase where all she wants is food. It keeps me busy. I love this picture! Emma came downstairs this morning with dirty underwear on her head! Help! We love the kid! She is a lot of fun and always happy!

We are excited for the Holidays even though Christmas lights didn't get on our house this year and I still have my Christmas decoration boxes in the front room! Anyway Happy Holidays! Amy

Thanksgiving Weekend!

The only thing that could have made this weekend better would have been a Utah Football win! We also missed Roger, Angee & kids! This was a great trip and we all hope to repeat it again in the future!

tUrkeY & vEgAs!

It's almost Turkey Day! HOORAY! I just want you all to know how thankful I am for my mom! I don't know how I could survuve without her. While she drives us places, we drive her crazy! But I'm so glad she is my mom.

But back on the subject.. I am so excited to visit my cousins in Las Vegas this Thanksgiving! They are so cute and I miss them a ton! Tonight we will pack and then leave as early as possible tomorrow morning. Although I hate driving in the car for long distances, it will be worth it! HOORAY FOR TURKEY DAY!!!!

End of Term Grades... UH OH!!!

Last friday we got our end of term grades. I got a 3.95! I only got an A- in gym! (and you wonder, How can one get an A- in gym?) Well, apparently the evil gym teachers try to torture their non-sporty students with WRITTEN TESTS! Anyway, Sara (of course) got a 4.0! She is happy being a Cheerleader and being snow in the Nutcracker. Speaking of which, this week will be very hectic in our household! With Nutcracker and other fun stuff, I can't wait!
