Merry Christmas!

A little good news!

Yeah! Peter took third place in the Pinewood Derby this past month! This was a fun surprise because we do not own woodworking tools of any kind! Last year we had a couple neighbors who offered to help the boys with their cars and we took them up on it. This year none of the offers materialized and I thought Sam was joking when we told Peter to meet him in the garage to work on the car. They ended up cutting it with a little hand saw. Anyway it ended up being a fast car and Peter took third place! Way to go Sam!

Sara's good news includes being moved up a level in ballet and her cheer squad taking first place in there competion at the U. They did a great job! They were the highest scoring Jr. High at the competition. They will have one more competition on January 12th and hopefully it will go as well.

Molly is doing a great job of Jr. High. She loves hanging out with friends and is still reading like crazy. She is also a great help with Emma. Molly's life is quite calm this Christmas and it has made me think back to all she did in International Childrens Choir. Looking back I don't know how we did it. It was a lot of fun but also a lot of work, time and driving!

Kate performed in her first play tonight! She did a great job! She was the mother - the two girls with her in the picture were her daughters. She also was knuckles - a mean elf. It was a cute play and I feel lucky to have such a great drama school close.

Now that I have bragged about most my kids - nothing keeps you in reality like a 20 month old. I never can seem to accomplish anything without a million distractions. Emma did not eat anything for 3 weeks and now she is in a phase where all she wants is food. It keeps me busy. I love this picture! Emma came downstairs this morning with dirty underwear on her head! Help! We love the kid! She is a lot of fun and always happy!

We are excited for the Holidays even though Christmas lights didn't get on our house this year and I still have my Christmas decoration boxes in the front room! Anyway Happy Holidays! Amy

Thanksgiving Weekend!

The only thing that could have made this weekend better would have been a Utah Football win! We also missed Roger, Angee & kids! This was a great trip and we all hope to repeat it again in the future!

It's almost Turkey Day! HOORAY! I just want you all to know how thankful I am for my mom! I don't know how I could survuve without her. While she drives us places, we drive her crazy! But I'm so glad she is my mom.

But back on the subject.. I am so excited to visit my cousins in Las Vegas this Thanksgiving! They are so cute and I miss them a ton! Tonight we will pack and then leave as early as possible tomorrow morning. Although I hate driving in the car for long distances, it will be worth it! HOORAY FOR TURKEY DAY!!!!

End of Term Grades... UH OH!!!

Last friday we got our end of term grades. I got a 3.95! I only got an A- in gym! (and you wonder, How can one get an A- in gym?) Well, apparently the evil gym teachers try to torture their non-sporty students with WRITTEN TESTS! Anyway, Sara (of course) got a 4.0! She is happy being a Cheerleader and being snow in the Nutcracker. Speaking of which, this week will be very hectic in our household! With Nutcracker and other fun stuff, I can't wait!

Kate's Fieldtrip & Peter's Science Fair

Here are some pictures of my day yesterday! I got to spend the day with Kate on her fieldtrip to the Children's Muesum. It was a good time! Peter did a great job on his Science Fair project. I was proud of him for doing this because it was optional! He did a great job!

Lunch with Kate!

Last week Kate asked me to eat lunch with her so today was the big day. She usually takes a sack lunch but since I was coming we decided to have the pizza at school. It is fun to see how she spends her day and I love any special time we can have together!

There goes my centerpiece!

This year I thought I would compromise with my candy for Halloween by putting it on my kitchen table instead of the coffee table so Emma wouldn't be able to get to it. It was there for less than a day before Emma learned to pull out a chair, climb up and start eating! She is very active and determined. In the past week she has also learned to climb out of her highchair and stroller. Life with an 18 month old is fun!

Books!

Recently I was thinking about what toys Emma likes to play with and I realized she plays with books most of the day. Since she can't talk at all it is fun to hear her read. It is a bunch of jabbering. One day she was reading in her room so I sat in the rocking chair to read to her. She kicked me out of the chair and climbed up on it to read on her own. As much as she loves to read she has no patience for reading on someone's lap. (She is an independent child just like Sara.) It is fun to see her growing up!

Peter Playing Soccer!

I wanted to post these pictures of Peter playing soccer last weekend. He had a good game and even scored a goal. My neighbor took these pictures and sent them to me. I was amazed at the action she was able to capture. I have been taking pictures of Peter playing soccer for 5 years now and I have never been able to capture the action. I asked her how she did it and she told me she took over 400 pictures at this single game. This seems to be a common factor of all my friends that capture great pictures. I am glad I can benefit from their patience and great talents!

Last Day of Warm Weather!

Today we had a 5K to support our school's new walking track. Peter did a great job and finished in 27 minutes. It was fun to see how excited he was about this race. He had run the mile ealier in the week and had done really well. We are hoping to get him involved in track next spring. The kids played in the water after because it is probably is one of the last warm days. Sara and Molly had their Hello assembly this week and the cheerleaders performed. Sara did a great job and I am always surprised at the great tumbling her team can do!

Kate's New Creation

Kate has really been persistent about digital scrapbooking. Here is her second layout. I should take a few lessons from her because she can create a layout in a fraction of the time it takes me to do one. No wonder why my scrapbooks are so far behind.

Nutcracker!

Well this weekend was the annual Nutcracker tryout! I was totally surprised at how well it went. Sara tried out for point and typically they only take 3 girls her age so I was not sure if she would make it. Not only did she make it but she got a call back for the part of the doll in the Party Scene. She was up against girls much older than her but just to get the call back was a great compliment. Molly also made it and got a call back for Clara for the second time. We won't know their parts until Tuesday, but it was a great day.

Hi! As anyone reading this knows I love to digitally scrapbook. Kate (7) is a great paper scrapbooker but she has been begging me to teach her how to digitally scrapbook. Here is her first creation. I think it is pretty good!

Also I can't believe I now will have two girls in Jr. High. I love these pictures of them getting ready for school to start.

VMK (a.k.a. Virtual Magic Kingdom!)

I bet your probably wondering what the heck VMK is. Well, it is an awesome virtual game that the kids and I spend all our time playing. You earn money by playing games and talk to people. One thing that my mom likes about it is that since it's Disney, there are certain things you can't say like numbers or your name, so its really safe and fun! (The first picture on the left is my person on vmk)

Well, Sara's Birthday is coming soon and same with school! I am way excited to start Jr. High! I am scared I'll get lost in such a big school...

Anyway, next time I PROMISE my mom will do the blogging instead of me!

wE ArE BAcK : )

We are back, amazingly enough. After 5 months my mom found out how to sign in : ) Anyway, Sara left to EFY today and it sound like she is having fun. Peter started football today as well. Remodeling is going pretty well, thanks to Becca and Josh for painting the basement on Saturday. We probably would still be painting without them : ) Soon we will post pictures of Emma. She has grown so big and is speaking Spanish a lot. Check back for pictures.

See ya,
Molly
